Result of
24 mile Team Time Trial Tues 25th June 2002
The two two up team time trial over 24 miles
proved to be the best evening
conditions so far in the Time Trial series with a warm sunny evening.
Unfortunately the wind was blowing a little hard from the north
west and
didn't help the riders a great deal. There were, however, some
extraordinarily fast times recorded.
First back were Chris Whitlam (Goole Vermuyden) and John Ketley
(Pete Read)
riding as a private trial with a time of 52 minutes 22 seconds,
and it was
over 12 minutes before the first of the series teams came back;
Rob Stones
and Paul Kilvington with 56.53. Another 11 minutes elapsed before
this was
beaten by Neal Cleminshaw and Dave Shackleton with 53.07.
Riding without a partner, James Frith proved once again to be unbeatable
even against two-up teams and recorded an astonishing 51.58. Some
training
ride!
