Hull Thursday’s Don Westgate Memorial 25

The strong westerly bothered everyone except Carl Saint over the 14 mile slog to the far turn at Boothferry. It seemed that the best times were done in the first half of the field by those who managed to stay clear of the torrential rain that appeared midway but a close examination shows that all the favourites came out on top.
The event counts in the Yorkshire Cycling Federation’s points series and Carl pushed the lead that he’d already established, further out.
