Jon
Dibble and Steve Macklin took first and second respectively
beating Neil Cleminshaw into third place in the Bartley
Cup Time Trial, twice round the Little Weighton Circuit.
Dean Fulstow, who becomes a vet at the end of the week,
is also threatening the top places, but the rivalry of these
first three put them a minute in front.
Steve
Macklin's is a particularly good time; he seems to be enjoying
a comeback no doubt from the hard training he has with Jon.
Andy Peers is moving up the table and Rob Stones showed
some of his old form beating many of the more fancied riders.
It won't be long before Rob will be putting a lid on the
super vet competition.
You
have to Admire the time done by Vanessa Frith, she finished
12th out of the 40 starters. I haven't included Chris Whitelam
who rode a private time trial - he recorded the fastest
tiem, 12 hilly miles in 28.29; showing that there's still
a very difficult target to beat. Looking at the most improved
I would say that Mike Kilgour would take this prize - he's
really moved up in the table in this event - keep it up
Mike!.
