Westgate "25" Saturday 6th September 2003
Surprise winner of the Westgate was Andy Tummons (City RC) in a closely contested event on the Hardriders 25 around Beverley Driffield. Andy, with Blair Buss and Derek Roe close on his heels, was pleased to record his very first win in an open. As Adam Duggleby was a non-starter we can't speculate whether he could have bettered 57.43. An early starter, off at number 5, he may have missed the rain shower that drenched a few on the start line, he had better luck than he did in the open Club 10 when he went off course in Lockington.
Dean Fulstow took first prize in the B section of the race, followed by Tony Boynton and Paul Kilvington.
