Chris Hoy rides with HTRC

Six HTRC riders participated in a promotional ride around Hull this afternoon with Olympic and multiple world champion Chris Hoy.

The event organised by Soreen in conjunction with Tesco culminated with the opening of a new Tesco Express store on Newland Avenue. The riders Matty Barratt, Dave Percival, Glenn Whitehouse, Mike Kilgour, Club President Paul Kilvington together with Steve Guymer, John Hopper and Tony Boynton enjoyed a 10 mile circular ride from Spring bank to Newland Avenue. They chatted with the Gold medal winner, discussing training, tactics and the forthcoming Olympic Games. Chris was easy to talk to and great company and answered the many questions with great enthusiasm. All the riders were all presented with a limited-edition Soreen yellow jersey as a memento of their ride together with promotional food bars and other goodies.
