Hill Climb - Spout Hill Tuesday 18th August 2009
A fantasic turnout of 26 riders on Tuesday night saw a very close battle for the Hill climb title.
Marloe Rodman was the victor in 2.21.25 winning by just over half a second (.55 second to be precise) over Dave Shackleton who is a regular competitor and past winner of the event. Third place went to Adam Duggleby with Steve Guymer the best rider in the HTRC championship in fourth place.
Despite much speculation that Nathan Chester's course record of 2.18 was about to be smashed it stands for another year which just proves what a fantastic ride it must have been. Perhaps Nathan would like to write a short article about the record and reproduce the result for our information
