Hull Thursday RC Star Bikes Time Trial Championship 2009
Round 5: Tuesday May 5th 2009 – Etton
What a hard night for racing cold and very windy making one half of the course super fast and the other half hard as nails. From the bottom of the climb it certainly looked tough if the expressions on riders facing was anything to go by.
Steven Guymer recorded his second victory with a 41 second margin over Steve Macklin who in turn was 22 second in front of Dean
Karl Downes once again rode a private entry and recorded a super fast 30.40 only 38 seconds off the course record on a really tough night
Christian Colbeck made a big improvement tonight and could well be one to watch in the coming weeks. He certainly looked smooth into the wind and showed good style as he rode up the climb and was my joint choice for ride of the night along with Karl.
3 new members also made their debuts tonight and certainly picked a hard night to try racing for the first time.
The next event is at Little Weighton (19/5/2009) at 7.00pm. – meet at the school. Please ensure you turn up NLT than 6.40pm for signing on as I intend to ride the event and would like some time to get myself ready
