Road Race League 2010

As we have recieved 55 entries for the full series it is possible that more people will turn up on the night than we have spaces for. If you have entered the full series you are guaranteed a ride so long as you sign on before 6.30,after that we will let day entrants sign on.

 We will have to charge you for a day license if you forget your TLI license.

The Police have given special instructions to remind all riders that at a give way junction you must give way to traffic if necessary,the marshals are only there to warn you,not to stop traffic. Any rider not following this instruction will be disqualified.

Things to remember

• Don't forget your T.L.I license and helmet
• The headquarters for the first event will be the Black Horse pub, Little Weighton, please sign on before 1830, the start will be at the usual place one mile from Little weighton on the road to High Hunsley.
• All events will start at 19.00
• At all other events the signing on will be on the roadside next to the start/finish area - please park off the course somewhere sensible.

The Races

• The races will be handicapped as accuratley as possible with points awarded at the finish line as follows :- 1st 10 points, 2nd 9 points down to 1 for 10th. See the Hull Thursday website for results and overall totals. The winner will be the rider with the highest total after 8 races.
• There will be no primes.
• Anyone entered for the full race series that helps out driving or marshalling at one of the races will recieve five points towards the overall.  Please contact the relevent organiser for any events you can help.
• N.B We don't need 30 marshals for the Newbald event.

Prizes

• There will be the usual prize presentation and buffet after the last event at the Black Horse pub in Little Weighton.
• Prizes will be given for the overall plus best Junior / Women / Vet / Super Vet.
• There will also be and award for the "smartest" rider. This prize will go to the rider who really has looked the part over the eight events. Secret Judges will be out at each event taking notes and admiring. Points to be judged on are bike cleanliness and sheen, clothing fit and coordination, general politeness to other riders and road users. For example : Anyone with a dirty bike, baggy green jersey and pink shorts, with unshaved legs who swears and shouts alot isn't going to win.

Extra Stuff

• We have kindly recieved £1300 profit from last years event which has meant it has been possible to charge only £30 entry fee. it is difficult to say how much prize money there will be as there is always a fair bit of extra cash generated from late entries and we will need to pay expenses to race drivers. However we are confident the prize list will be much better than last years. A balance sheet will be produced and published on the H.T.R.C website.
